AKKI TARI UPITTU


Akki tari where rice is coarcly powdered, and used. Which is very tasty when we prepare upma.


Ingrediants:

1 cup of rice rava or akki tari

2& 1/2 or little more water

Any vegetables of your choice chopped finely

Salt as per taste

Green chillies 4 to 5 finely chopped ( adjust as per your taste)

Curry leaves 1 string

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Lemon one

Coconut grated 1/4 cup or little more ( more coconut more tasty)

Turmeric powder ( optional)

Little ginger ( optional

1/2 tsp of sugar for taste

Seasoining:

1 tbsp of oil and 1 tbsp of ghee

1/2 tsp of mustered seeds

1/2 tsp of jeera

Green chillies

Curry leaves

Ginger



Method:

Fry rice rava finely till nice aroma comes and starts to turn golden brown color,here you can add 1 tsp of ghee and fry. Keep aside.

Heat ghee and oil in a pan and make seasoining all ingrediants given above.

Add all vegitables ( you can pre cook) and fry for few mins and add little salt and little water and cook until done .then add water and salt,sugar,lemon juice and leave it to boil .

Sim the flame and mix the rava very slowly and little by little at a time nicely.cover the lid and cook for 5 mins or until rava cooked .( if you mix over all at a time lumps will form ).

Garnish with coriander leaves and coconut .

Serve hot.
