BASIC BREAD


Basic bread or white bread...i was searching for eggless bread recipe i got this recipe,so i tried this,it came out very well & tasty..actually for making bread at home it is little time consuming,but later tye final out come will be very nice,proofing is very important in bread making,& also kneading.normally we people think bread is staple & good for unhealthy people means people suffering from fever or...but nowadays bread is used in everyday cooking like simple bread toast with jam for breakfast or making sandwich,bonda,cutlet & also it is used for binding purpose for cutlets etc.,so if it is homemade sure it will be healthy,normally bread is prepared by using all purpose flour or maida,but maida is not that much good to health,so nowadays,people started to use whole wheat flour or mix of both maida & whole wheat flour.here for the first time i tried with maida/all purpose flour.

Ingredients:
2&1/2 cups of maida or all purpose flour
1 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of salt
2&1/4 tsp of instant yeast ( see notes)
2 tbsp sugar
3/4 cup of warm water
1/4 cup of warm milk

Method:
1. Take a wide bowl & sift all purpose flour & add all dry ingredients & mix.

2. In another bowl take butter,water & milk & warm it at very low temperature.

3. Now gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients & start mixing.mix until everything incorporate neatly.

4. Then take the dough on well floured surface & start kneading,for at least 10-12 minutes or until soft & not too much sticky.

5. Grease a bowl with oil or butter & put the kneaded dough & cover with lightly damp cloth & leave to raise  for at least 1 hr or until it is double in size or quantity.

6.after it has proofed take out on well floured surface & punch it such that the air goes out & then again knead it for few more minutes & make it to log shape & put it in greased bread making pan & cover & keep it in warm place for another 45 minutes.

7. Mean while pre heat the oven on 200 dig for 10 minutes.( see notes)

8. Bake the bread at 180 dig ( in my oven) for 25 to 30 minutes ( or until done)

9. Remove from oven & brush with little butter & keep for cooling & then remive & cut into slises.

Notes: i used instant yeast which can be used directly.if you are using normal active yeast then with
 wet ingredients you should proof it & use ( mix with wet ingredients & add sugar & leave it to proof for ten minutes,you can see frothy type)

2. Keep it for raising in warm place.

3. Every oven temperature differs,in this recipe which i saw it tells 200 dig centigrade,but i pre heated with 200 dig., cent., but baked in 180 dig cent., so adjust the temperature.

4. If the bread starts browining cover it with aluminium foil on the top.this avoids too much browining ( you should cover after few minutes)
