MOONG BEANS SOUP ( hesarukalina soup)

Moong beans or hesarukalu,which is green in color,used in cooking in many ways as for salad,husali,curry,etc., it hasmany health benifits like rich in vitamin and minarals,rich in potasium,fiber..lower blood sugar levels etc.,   .....today i tried to make soup which got from a blog where i made very little changes. It is tasty and tummy full.



Ingrediants

1 cup of moong beans soaked in water for few hours

1 tsp oil or ghee

1/2 tsp jeera

Few curry leaves

1 green chillie slited

Salt as per taste

Others:

Ginger powder 1/4 tsp or fresh ginger chopped

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp jeera or cumin powder

1 tsp or as per taste lemon juice.



Garnish with coriander leaves

Cream ( optional)

Method;

1. Cook soaked moong beans in sufficiant water for two to three whistles in a cooker.leave it to cool.

2. Keep aside 2 tbsp or little more cooked moong aside and grind remaining cooked moong beans and keep.

3.heat oil or ghee and put cumin seeds and when it crakales add green chillie , ginger chopped or powder.

4. Curry leaves and fry then add grinded moong beans and also cooked moong ,and add water for soup consistancy,

5. Now add salt and mix well and leave it to boil.

6. Remove from fire and pour into a bowl and add other ingrediants and mix well.add lemon juice and mix.

7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
