Normally idli is prepared by using uraddal,rice or idlirava,and some will add poha too,normaly i add poha for soft and also i tried with sabudana,or topiyoca pearls,now i tried by adding puffedrice instad of poha,it came out very well.
Ingrediants
1 cup of uraddal
2 cups of idlirice
1fist full of puffed rice and little more
Method;
1. Clean and soak uraddal and puffedrice with sufficiant water for 4 to 6 hrs
2. In evening grind into fine paste and keep.
3. Heat 2 to 3 cups of water ( mild heat) mix in idli rava and remove excess water and keep for 1/2 an hr.
4.add grinded uraddal and puffed rice.mix well.
5. Keep it for fermenting overnight.
6. Next day add salt and make both tatte idli and regular idlies
7.serve hot with any side.
