SEEMEAKKI PADDU



Seemeakki also called as sabudana and topiyoka pearls ,is good for health,nowadays many dishes are made by using this,if you cook this it will be little sticky,we make vada,happala ,sandige,idli etc., i got this recipe from some blog and tried it by including some more ingredients in this.here it is.


Ingrediants:

1 cup of seemeakki soaked in water for few hrs., or until soft.

1 or 2 tbsp of fine chiroti rava

Salt

Green chillies

Curry leaves

Coriander leaves

Onion

Ginger

Grated or small pieces of coconut

For  seasoining:

1tbsp of oil

Mustered seeds 1/2 tsp

Jeera 1 tsp

Chanadal 1 tsp

Urad dal 1 tsp

Curry leaves chopped finely

Others:

1 or 2 tbsp of curds


Method:

1. Firstly take soaked seemeakki in a wide bowl and mash little bit with your hand,add salt .and mix.

2. Next heat oil in a kadai and add mustered seeds when it crakels add jeera and chanadal and uraddal and fry until golden brown.

3.next add green chillies,curry leaves and fry.

4.next add onions and fry until translucent.

5. Add all this seasoning with ginger and mix well.

6. Add curds and mix well.

7. Then add little by little water and mix and make dough consistancy,it should not be too watery or thick.

8. Now leave it for 5 to 10 mins.

9. Heat paddu maker and brush with oil.

10 now using spoon pour the batter and cook drizzaling little oil all over.

11. Turn the paddu upside down and cook until done.

12. It will be crisp outside and soft inside.

13 cook on medium heat,this will take little more time than others.

14.remove and serve hot.
