Instant ,where you can prepare immediately whenever you want,were no need of frying or seasoining because everything will be done before only.& same way of preparing...
Ingrediants;
1 cup of medium rava or semolinia
For seasoining:
2-3 tbsp of oil & 1-2 tbsp of ghee
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp of mustered seeds
1/2 tsp of jeera
Few curry leaves
1/2 or 1 tsp of chana dal
1/2 or 1 tsp of urad dal
Few broken cashews
5-6 finely chopped green chillies
1/4 tsp of ginger or ginger paste
Others:
Salt as needed
1/2 tsp of sugar
1 tbsp or as per taste lemon juice ( optional. Otherwise you can add while you prepare upma)
Coriander leaves ( optional and as above)
Method:
Heat oil & ghee in a wide pan and add seasoining & fry until golden brown then keep aside to cool.
( or here only you can add rava & fry till little brown in colour & fine aroma comes out)
Now in same pan fry rava or semolina until slightly golden brown & nice aroma comes out & remove & cool.
Now take both seasoining & fried rava & mix well & add sugar salt & lemon juice & coriander leaves & mix well & cool completely,
Next store in airtight container & use whenever you want.
For preparing upma as usual boil 2 cups of water for one cup of rava & while boiling start mixing little by little very slowly with low flame other wise lumps will be formed.leave it to cook for few minutes.
Smear some ghee & serve hot.
