RAVA DHOKLA

Dhokla is a Gujrathi dish or snack,normally made in traditional way but i have not tried & also they use gram flour in instant as i know called as khaman dhokla,but instant dhokla is also made by using rava or semolina & i have tried gram flour dhokla & posted in my blog.this will be slightly bland in taste & finally we make seasoining & serve with green chutney,but here i have mixed the batter with ginger & green chillies so it is little taste with seasoining.

Ingrediants

1 cup of medium rava or semolina
1 cup plus 2 tbsp of sour curds ( not too sour but little should be there )
Salt as per taste
Pinch of sugar
1&1/2 tsp or as per your spicy green chilli & ginger paste.
1/4 tsp of lemon juice
1 tsp of eno powder
Water for making batter

Seasoining;

1 tbsp of oil
1 /2 tsp of mustered seeds
1/2 tsp of ueera
1 string of curry leaves
1 or 2 finely chopped green chilli
1 tbsp of water

Method;

1. Grease a bowl in which you are  making dhoklas

2. In another bowl take rava & add salt & mix all other ingredients except eno & water & mix well and keep aside for few minutes.

3. Now add water & make idli batter consistancy but pouring consistancy,not too watery or not too thick.

4. Lastly add eno fruit salt & mix throughly,& immediately pour into greased container & steam in cooker for 15 -20 minutes or until done.

5. Meanwhile,prepare seasoining and add water to that & keep ready ( be careful while adding water) why we are adding water is to make it little thin to spread on dhokla.

6. When dhokla is cool remove from vessel  & spread the seasoining ,here if you want you can add lemon juice because you have added little in batter also.

7. Now lastly,garnish with coriander leaves & cut into pieces,& serve with pudina chutney.
