NIPPATTU


Nippattu is a south indian spicy snack which is crispy & served with tea or coffee,some call it as thattai also,in kannada we call it as nippattu,very easy to prepare & this recipe i got from one blog & tried,it came out very well & crispy...

Ingrediants;

1 cup of rice flour
2 tbsp of maida or all purpose flour 
2 tbsp of sooji or fine semolina or chiroti rava

1 tsp or as per spicy red chilli powde
4 tbsp of peanuts
4 tbsp of fried gram
Salt as needed
3 tsp of hot oil
1/2 cup of water approximately 
Sufficiant oil for deep frying

Method;



1. Take fried gram & pea nuts in a mixie jar and grind or pulse into coarse powder & ke


2. In a vessal take all Ingrediants including coarsly powdered peanuts & fried gram & mix throughly ( except oil & water)


3. Now heat 3 tsp of oil & pour on to flour mixture & mix nicely that it resembles like bread crumbs & now add little by little water & start kneading to a soft & pealable & spreadable dough & keep aside for few minutes.

4. Now heat oil for deep frying .make equal size of balls from the dough & take one plastic sheet & apply very little oil & take one ball of dough & spread into round disc ( try) thin as much possible but not too thin or thick.

5. Now put 2-3 discs ( it depends how much it fits in your pan) & fry until golden brown & crisp on medium low flame . Fry all discs & remove extra oil on paper napkin.

6. When it is completely cool store in a air tight container & serve with coffee or tea.

Red chilli powder as per spicy you want
4 tsp of hot oil
Asafatida or hing little
Yellu 1 tbsp
