KODUBALE

Kodubale is one more spicy rice flour ring of karnataka which is spicy,crunchy served with tea or coffee as snack.i got this recipe from one blog and tried....even making kodbales are different in different places but without perfection you cant mke this you should have some experience to make this ....actually i tried many times and failed but ,my mom makes nice & tasty kodubales,today i got it but not too perfection but ok....

Ingr;

1/4 cup of chiroti rava or fine sooji or semolina

1/4 cup of maida ( 1 tsp less)
1 cup of rice flour
1/2 tsp ajwain or jeera ( i used jeera)
Salt as needed
3 tbsp of hot oil
1/2 cup of grated dry coconut
Chilli powder as per spicy
Water as needed to make soft & pealable dough

Method;

1. Take all Ingrediants in a vessal except oil & water mix well.

2. Heat 3 tbsp of oil & pour on the flour mixture that you must hear sizzling sound.

3. Now mix once again throughly without any lumps until it incorporates equally.

4. By adding little by little water make soft and pealable dough & knead it nicely that you can make rings without breaking ( as far as possible)

5. Heat oil for deep frying in a pan on medium high flame ( oil should not be too hot ) if it is too hot kodubale will not cook inside & it becomes brown or burn early.

6 now take little dough & make round rings by kneading & join each ends & put into hot oil & deep fry ( you can put 5-6 in one go if your pan is wide & have sufficient oil.) until it becomes golden brown outside & crisp inside for few minutes.

7. Remove & put on the kitchen towel & remove extra oil ,

8. Cool completely & store in airtight box,serve as you wish.
