Mentya soppu or methi or fenugreek leaves pulao or rice which is tasty & healthy & very easy to prepare.
Ingrediants;
1 bunch of methi leaves cleaned finely & chopped
1 cup of basmathi rice or any rice
2 cups of water
Salt as needed
1 tbsp of oil & 1 tsp of ghee
1 tsp of shajeera or regular jeera
1/2 tsp of ginger & garlic paste
1" of cinnamon
1 cardamom
1 clove
1 or 2 bay leaves or pulao leaves
1/2 cup or little more cooked peas
Pinch of sugar
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of chilli powder or as per spicy
1/2 tsp of coriender powder
1/4 tsp of jeera powder
1/4 tsp of garam masala
1 tbsp of lemon juice or adjust as per taste
Method;
1. Cook rice & keep ready.
2. Wash methi leaves & chop & keep ready.
3. In a pan heat both oil & ghee & add shajeera,when it splutter add ginger garlic paste & cinnamon,cardamom & clove & also bay leaf & fry for few seconds
4. Now add boiled peas & mix then add chopped methi leaves & fry until it starts to shrink .
5. Now add cooked rice & all other ingredients including salt & sugar & mix well.
6.lastly,add lemon juice & mix well & serve with raita.
