Lauki means halu sorekai in kannada,this vegitable usually i use for making idlies but today i got one another recipe lauki theple this is Gujrathi dish very easy to prepare & tasty too,
Ingrediants;
1 cup of grated lauki ( skin removed)
1&1/4 cup or little more wheat flour
1to 2 tbsp of gram flour
Salt
1 tsp of red chilli powder
1/2 tsp of jeera powder
1/2 tsp of coriander powder
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
2to 3 tb sp of curds
1/2 tsp of ginger paste or grated ginger
Green chilli ( i did not use)
Coriander leaves
Kasoori methi ( these two optional)
1 tb sp of oil
Method;
1. Remove skin of lauki & grate it into a bowl now add all other Ingrediants & mix well.
2. Knead into smooth & soft dough,here no need of water because you have added curds,but if you feel dry you can add little more curds or water & knead.
3. Heat a tava.
4. Now make equal size of balls & roll into round disk & cook both side by smering little oil.
5. Serve hot with curds & pickle.
