CARROT ONION RICE


Today i tried carrot onion rice,it was tasty & easy to make this one which i made was one pot meal,as i think only carrot rice taste is ok i think but when you include onion it gives more taste.this rice preparation is very simple & easy...

Ingrediants;

1 cup basmathi rice cleaned & soaked in water for 15-20 minutes.
2 medium large carrots pealed & grated
1 medium large onion chopped
Salt as needed
Pinch of sugar
1 tbsp red chilli powder or as per spicy
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Pinch of turmeric ( optional)
1 tsp of garam masala
1/2 tsp coriender powder
Oil +ghee 1 tbsp
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp amchur powder

Method;

1. Heat oil & ghee then add jeera when it splutters,add ginger garlic paste & sauté now add chopped onions & fry for few minutes,now add grated carrots & fry for few seconds now add basmathi rice & fry for few minutes now add all powders including salt & sugar & mix well then add 2 & 1/2 cups of water & mix well & cover & cook until done.keep mixing here & there other wise bottom will burn.

2. Garnish with coriander leaves & before that mix in with amchoor powder.

3. Serve hot with raitha.
