MOOLI PARATHA








Mooli or moolangi or raddish any name the vegitable which is used in preparing many dishes like sambar,curry etc., normally I prepare sambar most of the time.today I tried to prepare mooli paratha where raddish is stuffed & rolled to round disc like chapathi &  cooked & served normally with homemade curds sprinkled with roasted jeers or cumin powder & pickles.as you wish & this is mainly dish of north India.


Ingrediants;

2 cups of wheat flour
Salt as needed
Water as needed

For stuffing;
2-3 medium grated raddish
Pinch of salt
Red chilli powder 1 tsp or as per spicy
Pinch of sugar
1 tsp of garam masala
1/2 tsp of amchoor powder
Little chopped curry leaves
Finely chopped coriander leaves or kasoori methi

Seasoning;

1 tsp of oil
1/2 tsp of jeera
1/2 tsp of ajwain
1/2 tsp of ginger paste

Method;


Make a soft dough by using wheat flour & water by adding salt.

Grate finely the radish & sprinkle little salt & keep aside for few minutes,& squeeze all extra water nicely.

Now heat a pan with a tspoon of oil & add  ajwain & jeera & finely chopped curry leaves & ginger paste & fry,

Now add grated raddish & fry until dry ,then add very little more salt,sugar & red chilli powder,garam masala & amchoor powder & mix well.

Lastly garnish with coriender leaves & mix & keep ready .

Now take a medium size of ball of the dough & roll into small round disc & keep the raddish mixture & cover all the four sides & flat it & sprinkle little dry flour & roll into medium size rounds & keep.

Cook both sides sprinkling little ghee both the sides until golden brown .

Serve hot with any side you wish.
