PLAIN OR SIMPLE MASOOR DAL




This dal is very simple & very easy to make & tasty too which is served with plainrice,roties,chapathi etc., dals are very rich in protein,& we have variety of dals or lentils which are good for health & we can make different variety of dals ,today i tried simple dal or plain dal in which no much ingrediants are needed & you can prepare within no time...


 ingrediants;
1 cup of masoor dal or toordal 

For seasoning;
1 tbsp of ghee
1 tsp of jeera
Few curry leaves 
2 finely chopped green chilli 
1 red chilli
1 medium small tomato finely chopped 
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
Salt as needed 
1/4 tsp of sugar
1 tb sp of lemon juiceCoriender leaves for garnishing

If you want more spicy you can add little red chilli powder

Method;

1. Cook masoor dal until soft & mash it finely & keep.

2. Heat ghee & add jeera & when jeera splutters add green chilies & red chillies & fry for few minutes then add curry leaves & fry.

2. Now add finely chopped tomato & fry or cook until it is slightly soft.add turmeric powder & mix.

3. Now add cooked dal & mix,then add salt & sugar & check consistancy,it should not be too watery or thick.& leave it to boil for few seconds & remove.

4. Now add lemon juice & mix well,

5. Garnish with coriander leaves .

6. Serve hot with roti or rice .
