Ragi idli,finger millet idli,ragi or finger millett is very healthy & nowadays we are all very health conscious,so. Will be searching healthy dishes to prepare & in that search ragi is also very healthy & we can prepare dishes from ragi,like ragi dosa,idli,ragi ambli or ragi mudde etc....here i have tried to make idli i have prepared dosa it was also very tasty & crispy & idli too very taste & soft texture but don't go with colour go with its health benefits, come let us see some health benefits of finger millet; ( google) rich in calcium,helps in weight loss,contains fibre,regulates blood sugar, baby food,.......so now move towards recipe 😊
Ingrediants
1/2 cup ragi or finger millet
1/2 cup urad dal
2 cups idli rava
1/4 cup or little less or fistful of poha or puffed rice
Water to grind
Salt as needed
Method;
1. Soak finger millet,poha & urad dal together for 4-5 hrs .
2. Grind soaked things into fine paste by adding little by little water but not too much of water.
3. Now heat some water ( it should be very medium heat) & now soak idli rava & wash it & remove water from it & leave it for 10 minutes
4. Now take idli rava & grind it not for too smooth paste grind it for few seconds that's it.
5. Remove & mix with urad dal batter & mix throughly & add salt & keep aside for fermenting overnight.
6. Next day it will be doubled & mix once again & grease idli moulds & pour spoon ful of batter & steam for 10-12 minutes or until done,
7. Serve hot with any side you like.
