DALIA IDLI/BROKEN WHEAT IDLI ( instant)

Delia or broken wheat or godi rava ,or lapsi....it is very healthy,& from this you can prepare many dishes like sweet or spicy like upma,idli,dosa etc.,some benefits of dalia are,broken wheat is made by using whole wheat so it carries lots of fiber & nutrition,it hellps in preserving healthy body weight,lower the risk of type two diabetes,etc., nowadays by its lots if health benefits people are using this broken wheat in there daily food.here i tried to make instant idli by using broken wheat,yes you can make it by fermentation method like other idli with rice & urad dal also.for this you can add veggies too,here i have made simple idli,it is very easy & tasty & soft idli.this recipe i got from yummy tummy blog where i made some variations.

Ingredients;
1 cup broken wheat rava
1/2 cup curd
Salt as needed
 1/2 tsp eno fruit salt( pinch more)
Water as needed to make batter

Seasoning:
1 tsp oil
1/2 ts mustered seeds
1/2 tsp chanadal
1/2 tsp uraddal
1 spring curry leaves finely chopped
1 spring coriander leaves finely chopped
2-3 green chillies coarsly ground
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp cashews cut into pieces
Little whole cashews for decorating ( optional)

Method;
1. Makebroken wheat little coarse in mixie ( if it iss too big in size) & keep,

2. In a wide bowl take coarse broken wheat & add salt & mix well then add curds & mix well & keep aside for few minutes.

3. Meanwhile make seasoning & add to rava mixture & add coriander leaves & mix well. Then add little by little water & make batter ( normal idli batter consistency) & lastly,add eno fruit salt & mix immediately & vigorously.

4. Before adding eno salt keep ready greased idli plates,now pour spoon full of batter & steam for 10-12 minutes or until done.

5. Remove & serve hot with any side which you like.

6. Enjoy this healthy & tasty idli.
