MOONGDAL CHEELA

                                                                  ಹೆಸರುಬೇಳೆ ದೋಸೆ

Moongdal cheela or moongdal dosa,very healthy & tasty dosa.this is one of Rajasthani dish,this is good breakfast,this is dosa stuffed or sprinkled with onion,carrot & cottage cheese.this dosa is prepared in different ways in different place.some will spread green chutney & sprinkle cottage
cheese or paneer,& some add veggies to batter or sprinkle on dosa,this is upto your imagination,to prepare inovetively.here i used only onion & grated carrot .it was very tasty,this dosa doesn't require fermentation.in last post i have posted dosa with moong ( hesaru kalu)

Ingredients;
1 cup moongdal
1/4 cup uraddal ( optional)
4-5 green chillies
1" ginger

Others;
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 medium carrot finely grated
1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
Oil for making dosa

Method;
1. Soak moongdal & uraddal in sufficiant water over night,next day grind to smooth paste by adding green chilli & ginger & by adding sufficiant water.& add salt & mix.

2. Finely chop onion & grate carrot & chop coriander leaves & keep ready.

3. In a pan heat little oil & fry onion by adding little salt until it changes it's colour.then add carrot & coriander leaves & mix & switch of the flame.

4. Heat tava on medium flame & pour ladle full of batter ( batter should be little thick than regular dosa batter) & spread ( here you can make thick little dosa like pancakes or regular medium thick or thin dosa,the recipes which I referred,i saw thick dosa,but as I don't like thick dosa & fan of thin dosa i made thin dosa's) thick or thin dosa & sprinkle some oil in & around dosa & spread the prepared stuffing & cook until sides start browning & crisp.then fold it to half & remove.

5. Serve hot with chutney.

Notes;
1. If you making for children sprinkle some cheese or paneer & spread veggies & give or spread tomato sauce & spread veggies & grated cheese & give.they surely love to eat.

2. You can mix veggies directly to batter & make dosa.

3. Roasting onion is completely optional,you can add raw.

4. If you want turn over the dosa upside down & cook other side also.

5. This dosa preparation is completely innovative.
