MAJJIGE SARU

Prep., time 10 minutes
Cooking time ; 5 minutes
Majjige saru or buttermilk rasam,when ever you are bored of making same kind of rasams or sambar so this is one better way to change taste to our taste buds,try this,this is very easy & very tasty too..as all of us know butter milk is very healthy too,one thing is you should have some more curds ( sour) @ home that's it,then this rasam is ready steady to go with plain hot rice,you can have it as soup also.so i got this recipe & i tried it it.

Ingredients;

1 cup curds
1/2 cup water
Salt as needed
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder

For masala powder
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp jeera
1 tbsp toor dal
1/2 tsp turmeric powder


For tadka;

1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp mustered seeds
1/2 tsp jeera
Curry leaves
Asafoetida
2 broken dry red chilli

Others

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method;

1.take curd in a bowl & whisk nicely & add water & mix then add salt & turmeric powder & mix well & keep ready.

2. In a pan dry roast all things given under masala powder & powder in mixie jar into smooth powder ,

3. Mix the masala powder into the ready butter milk & mix well,check salt if needed add again.

4. Heat ghee in a pan & add all things given under tadka & fry then add the butter milk mixture & mix & bring to boil.when it starts to boil remove from stove.

5. Garnish with coriander leaves.

6. Serve hot with plain rice.
