PULI SADAM


                                                             ಪುಳಿ  ಸಧಂ , ಹುಳಿ  ಅನ್ನ

Puli Sadham is one of the Tamil Nadu dish,which i got the recipe from one of the blog,it is tangy version of rice,which is very flavourful & very tasty.one thing is very easy to prepare.actually,when we are bore of preparing same kind of rice like vegetable bhath,vangibhath etc., this is one type of change to our taste buds also.firstly,i thought how it may be,& if husband rejects what to do,but i thought it's ok once i give a try,oh... It came out very well & tasty. :-) ,thank god.



Ingredients

1 cup rice ( cooked)
1 small lemonsize tamrind soaked in water here you can use paste also.
Salt
Jaggery ( optional) ( in recipe which i reffered she has not mentioned)

Seasoning

1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustered seeds
1/2 tsp of channa dal
1/2 tsp of urad dal
2 red chillies broken
1 spring of curry leaves
A pinch of hing

Others

One medium onion finely chopped

Method

1. Cook rice & keep ready.

2, in a pan heat oil & put mustered seeds,when it crackles add channa dal,& urad dal & fry until it turns golden brown in colour & add red chillies & curry leaves & fry ,

3. Then add chopped onions & fry until it turns golden brown colour.

4. Then add soaked tamarind water  for one cup of rice use 1/2 cup of soaked tamarind water.& live to boil.

5. It should boil until it starts thickening,then add salt & jaggery & mix.& live it to boil.it should become little thick consistency like hunase gojju.

6. Then add cooked rice & mix nicely.( adjust salt)

7. Serve hot with any happala or raitha or any salad.
