KOBBARI MITHAI


                                                                ಕೊಬ್ಬರಿ ಮಿಟಾಯಿ

Kobbari mitai or copra or coconut burfi,is a very delicious sweet dish,which is made by using fresh grated coconut ( white part) it is very easy to prepare & very tasty too,in my home my husband likes this burfi very much,actually,i was failed to make this burfi all these days, it was becoming too soft or very crumble like i was feeling very sad :-(. But when i was seeing in fb i got this recipe that one of the lady from one recipe blog had put the recipe i saw it & got little confidence & tried to make,but pieces did not come proper,i was panic to do impression also so it became little.....;-) but taste is very good.

Ingredients;

1 cup grated coconut
Little less than 3/4 cup sugar
2tbsp milk
2 pods of cardamom powdered
Pinch of camphor ( patcha karpoora) optional

Method:

1. Grate white part of fresh coconut & give a pulse in mixer that each & every gratings are equal.

2. In a pan take grated coconut,sugar & milk & switch on the stove @ medium flame & keep on mixing.

3. Sugar starts to melt & the whole mixture starts to live sides & start to become one lump @  This stage add cardamom & camphor ( i have not added camphor) & mix well & remove from stove.

4. Keep greased plate ready & pour the mixture & immediately spread by using back side of a bowl.
& give an impression of cutting by using knife or pizza cutter.

5. Live  it to cool.

6. Make pieces & store in airtight box.
