BEANS PULAO


                                                     ಹುರಳಿಕಾಯಿ  ಪುಲಾವ್
Beans pulao as the name itself says,it is an rice dish containing fresh beans & blended with some
spices,it is very very easy to prepare & very tasty too,here i have used electric rice cooker to prepare this dish,but you can also make on stove top directly in pan or you can use pressure cooker

Things used

1/2 cup finely chopped beans
1 cup long grain rice or basmathi rice or even regular rice you can use
1 tbsp ghee
1 or 2 bay leaf
2-3 cloves
1 or 2 cardamom pod
Salt

For tadka

1 tsp jeera
2-3 green chillies or as per spicy
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Roasted cashews ( optional)

Method





1. Heat ghee in a pan & add jeera when it starts to crackle add bay leaf & fry then add cloves followed by cardamom pod & green chilli fry until fine aroma comes out

2. Mean while soak rice in water for 1/2 hr

3. Add chopped beans & fry it by adding or simply sprinkling very little water until it is half cooked.

4. Then add rice ( drain water before adding) & fry for few minutes

5. Put it in electric cooker &  add salt & little sugar for taste ( optional) & 2&1/2 cups of water or little more if you are cooking in electric cooker,or if in pan or pressure cooker add 1:2 .

6. Cook until done.

7. Serve hot with any side.i made pancham dal as side.
