TAMARIND RASAM

ಹುಣಸೆ  ಸಾರು 
Tamarind rasam or hunase saru is made by using only tamrind,it is totally different by other rasam it is tangy,sweet taste,it is very easy to prepare,when you are bore of preparing normal rasams you can try this,this can be served as soup or with rice....
Ingredients

1 small lemon size tamarind pulp soaked in 1&1/2 cup of water
Salt
Jaggary 1 tbsp or more
Curry leaves

Tempering
Ghee 1 tsp
Mustered seeds 1/2 tsp
Channadal 1/4 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder ( optional
Hing pinch ( optional)
Dry red chilli 1-2
Rasam powder or chilli powder ( if u want morespiciness).

Method

Heat ghee in a vessel & add mustered seeds,channa dal,jeera & curry leaves,& fry then pour the tamarind water & keep to boil,when it starts  boiling add salt & jaggary,( if u are adding rasam powder or chilli powder @ this stage u can add), boil for few more minutes & remove from stove.

You can garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot.
