CABBAGE RICE

ಎಲೆ ಕೋಸಿನ ಅನ್ನ 
We can prepare many varieties of rice like brinjal rice,capsicum rice..... Using vangi bhath powder ,here vangi means brinjal, previous days usually all were preparing only brinjal rice i think so,so for that masala they have kept vangibhath powder,but nowadays we can prepare many vegetable  rice by using vangibhath powder,so today i am posting cabbage rice using vangibhath powder...

Ingredients

1 cup cooked rice
1 medium cabbage cut finely
Bhath powder ( vangi bhath powder) 1&1/2 tbsp ( you can make more or less)
Salt
Sugar little ( optional)
Peanuts ( optional) 1/4 cup
Grated dry coconut 1/4 cup

Seasoning

1 tb sp oil,
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Dry red chillies. 2-3 broken
Curry leaves

Others
Tamarind water 1 small lemon size soaked in water (1/4cup water)

Method

Heat oil in a pan & add mustered seeds,dry red chilli,& curry leaves & fry then add pea nuts & fry

until golden brown & add cabbage & fry for few seconds & add tamarind water & mix properly &

close a lid & on medium flame live it to cook.

When cabbage is cooked add vangi bhath powder & mix then add salt & mix if it is too dry sprinkle little water & mix.

Lastly , add cooked rice & mix throughly.

Next add grated dry coconut & mix.

Serve with your favourite raita .

Note:
You can add lemon juice also @ the end then avoid tamarind water to cook ,add normal water to cook if you are adding lemon juice later.

In this method you can prepare bhath with given vegetables below.
