ಅವಲಕ್ಕಿ ಕೇಸರಿ ಭಾತ್
Usually,we have seen or prepare sooji or rava kesaribhath,now a days people are very much innovative that inventing so many different dishes.this poha kesari was posted by my friend & i was very much impressed ,so i thought i will make it today for break fast with upma.it was very easy & very tasty.so i want to thank my friend subha here.....i made little variations in my recipe..
Ingredients
1 cup thick poha
3/4 cup or 1 cup sugar
2&1/2 tbsp ghee
Little orange colour
Little orange flavour
If you want add cardamom powder & skip orange flavour.
1 tbsp cashews
Method
Soak poha in sufficient water for 1/2 hr ,clean it and soak or you can pulse it once & soak
Heat1&1/2tbsp ghee in a pan & fry broken cashews until golden brown in color & remove & keep
aside
In the same ghee fry soaked poha,until it turns little brown & cooked & nice aroma comes out.& keep
In the same pan bring milk to boil
When milk starts boiling add sugar,colour & orange flavour & keep mixing until sugar dissolves
When sugar melts add roasted poha,& start mixing until it start to live the sides of the pan
Now lastly add cashews & mix well, & add remaining 1 tbsp ghee.& mix well & remove from stove.
Enjoy,hot hot poha kesari.or you can keep in fridge for 1 hr & cool it & serve with your favourite ice cream.
