BESAN FLOUR COOKIES

Besan flour or kadale hittu or chickpea flour biscuits or nankatai is very tasty cookies,crunchy cookies & very easy to make. Normally we use only maida or all purpose flour to make any cookies but nowadays thinking about health all are trying many other types also like wheat flour cookies etc.m but here also maida has been used & but not only maida,besan flour is also used.ya it looks nice golden colour & in recipe i reffered she has used pistachios to decorate,but in my stock i did not have pistachio,ya i had but it was salted 😔 so i omitted that & made plain.you can add pistachios too 😊


Ingredients;
1 cup maida flour
1/2 cup besan flour
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1-2 cardamom pods powder
Butter/oil/ghee 1/2 cup ( i used oil)
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Milk 1 tbsp or more or less
Pista 2-3 tbsp finely chopped ( optional)

Method;

1. Pre-heat your oven to 180 dig cent., for 5 minutes & grease a baking tray & sprinkle little flour & keep ready.

2. In a bowl take powdered sugar & oil & mix well for few secs., then add maida,besan flour,baking soda,baking powder & cardamom powder & mix well ,then add milk & knead to smooth dough & keep,

3. Take pistachio in a plate & make equal size balls from cookies dough & roll it on pistachios & arrange on baking tray leaving little gap etween each cookies.

4. Bake to 15-20 minutes in preheated oven or until it starts turning golden colour.

5. Remove & cool & store in airtight container.

Note: 1. Baking differs in each oven,mine it took little less than 20 minutes.

           2. When you remove cookies from oven it will be soft but don't worry later it will be ok.
