SEMOLINA CAKE ( turkish delight) ( damscus/sambali dessert)


This is sweet dish,& turkish dessert & called as damscus we call it as semolina cake,yummy dessert
You can serve with ice cream & enjoy...



Note : you can sprinke grated coconut on the cake to make it more delicious.

Ingredients

FOR CAKE1.5 tsp vanilla
2 cups semolinaSUGAR SYRUP(sherbut)
2 cups flour3 cups sugar
2 cups yogurt yogurt3 cups water
1 cups sugar2.5


Step 1First make sugar syrup (         while boiling add lemon ) & keep.   aside to cool. Mix sugar & yogurt in a bowl till sugar dissolves & add semolina,flour & baking powder & vanilla extract
& mix Pour into greased plate & make impression of cut & stick any dry fruits Pre heat oven @ 200 dig cent., for 5 mins Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 mins until top turns to golden brown in color. Remove & keep for cool for 5 mins then pour sugar syrup all over the cake & live it for few mins or until sugar syrup is absorbed. Then cut into slices & serve with coconut topping or your fav icecream.
