Mysore rasam is a soup like,it is very tasty rasam,& totally , different by regular rasam,but i don't know why they call it as mysore rasam,do try this rasam you sure like this....

Ingredients
Toordal 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Red chilli 4-5
Dhaniya 1/2 tbsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Black pepper 7-8
Turmeric powder
Hing pinch
Salt
Tamarind small lemon size soaked in water
Little jaggary for taste ( optional)
Tampering
Ghee 1 tbsp
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves For garnishing
Method
In a vessel take toordal,red chilli,dhaniya,jeera,black pepper & turmeric & add little water & keep in cooker & cook for 3 whistles , then remove & cool it completely , after once it is cool take the mixture & grind it to smooth paste ( you can add little water if needed) ,bring it to boil after few minutes of boiling add salt,tamarind water ,& jaggary & mix & live it to boil few more minutes.
Add water if needed.
Now make seasoning & add to rasam & garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice & enjoy..
