This snack is called as bombay bonda or bajji actually, i don't no why they call it like that,& some even call it as vada which is kept in between pav & served i know this is very famous snack in mimbai,street food,people are fond of these snacks.usually as i know nothing special recipe for this inly making potato curry/palya & coated with gramflour & deep fried,some times when we make this curry if their is left over you can try this,i made that only,i had left over aloo curry in evening i prepared this snack . Here is the recipe...

Ingredients
2-3. Big onions boiled & smashed
2 medium onions finely chopped
Peas 1/2 cup frozen or cooked
Tempering
Oil 1 tb sp
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Channa dal 1/2 tsp
Urad dal 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
Green chillies 4-5 or as per spicy
Ginger 1/2" crushed
Others
Coriander leaves
Lemon juice( optional)
Oil for deep frying
Gram flour 1/2 to 1 cup
Chilli powder little ( optional)
Salt ( optional)
Method
Heat oil in a pan & add mustered seeds,then when it splutters add green chilli,sauté for few minutes & then put all other ingredients one by one & saute nicely,then add chopped onion & fry until it turns transparent & golden brown color then add peas & mix then add cooked & mashed potatoes & mixthen add salt & sugar ( little)(optional) ginger & mix throughly,then add lemon juice ( optional)
& mix,add coriander leaves & keep ready.
Heat oil in a pan
Then make a semi liquid paste of gramflour adding salt ( be careful you have added salt to curry also)
Chilli powder & you can add little rice flour ir corn flour for crispy ness .
Make small balls of potato curry & roll one by one that gram flour paste shoul quote all over the curry then deep fry until golden brown & crisp on medium flame. Remove extra oil by kitchen towel.
Enjoy the bonda with any chutney or chilli sauce or tomato sauce.
You can also keep in between pav buns & make it as vasa pav.
