ಹೆಸರುಕಾಳಿನ ಸಾಗು
Huralikalu or horse gram is also very healthy .usually we prepare sambar adding with any vegetable,or rasam,or husali,etc., here i tried for first time sagu as side for idli,it came out very well
Here is the recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup huralikalu or horse gram soaked over night & cooked
For masala
Green chillies 4-5 or as per spicy
Grated coconut 1/2 cup
Cinnamon 1/2"
Coriender leaves 1/4 bunch
Fried gram or hurigadale 1 tbsp
Others
Salt as per taste
Jaggary little
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Tempering
Oil 1 tsp
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Dry red chilli 1 broken
Curry leaves
Method
Cook huralikalu or horse gram in cooker to 3 whistles or until soft not mushy.
Grind things given under for masala & keep
In a pan make tempering & add cooked horse gram & grinded masala & mix & boil unti the raw ness goes then put salt & jaggary,curry leaves & mix & live it to boil for another 5 minutes.
Here is your sagu ready study to go with idli,dosa,poori etc.,
