ಅವರೆಕಾಳಿನ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ
This is avarekalina rotti ,in last post i had posted avarekalina uppittu & avarekalina saru,in this avarekalu you can even make some more dishes,this is from karnataka,usually in this season people love to buy avarekalu & make varieties of dishes,in bangalore in avarekaina season near sajjanrao circle,lalbagh vendors put lots of shops & sell varieties of avarekalu,if you go their it is eye catching scene never miss if you are in bangalore.today i have made rotti using avarekalu...
Ingredients
1 cup rice flour
3/4 cup to 1 cup cooked avarekalu
Salt
1tbsp oil
Green chillies 4-5 crushed or finely chopped
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut 1/4 cup
Turmeric powder optional
Method
Cook avarekalu in cooker & keep ready
Take a wide bowl & mix all ingredients & add little by little water & mix & make a soft & pelable dough. & keep aside for 10 minutes.
Now,take tava/kadai/plate & grease with oil & (make equal balls of dough & keep) take one ball & spread evenly on the tava/kadai/plate & keep it for cooking smering some oil on it & cover it with a lid & cook.
Cook until it is crisp & turns golden brown in color ( if you want you can cook it turning around )
Repeat with other doughs also same.
Serve hot with chutney or any other side you wish.
