FLAT BEANS RICE OR CHAPPARADA AVAREKAI ANNA



                                                     ಚಪ್ಪರದ ಅವರೆಕಾಯಿ ಅನ್ನ 
This is ಚಪ್ಪರದ ಅವರೆಕಾಯಿ  ಅನ್ನ or flat beans or broad beans rice,this is also one of the variety ofbeans family,very healthy & very tasty,in this we can make so many dishes,today i have tried broad beans bhath or rice with fresh ground spices with little variations,try this.....

                                                           ಚಪ್ಪರದ ಅವರೆಕಾಯಿ



Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice
Broad beans 1 cup or little more cut into 1/2" length
Salt
Sugar ( optional)
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Grated dry coconut for garnishing

For bhath powder

Red chillies 5
Curry leaves few
Dhaniya 1 tbsp
Channa dal 1 tsp
Urad dal 1/2 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Clove 1
Cinnamon 1/2"
Poppy seeds or yellu 1/2 tsp
Dry coconut 1/4 cup

Tempering

1 tbsp oil
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Red chilli 2 broken
Curry leaves
Channa dal 1 tsp


Method

Cook rice & keep ready

Cook broad beans & keep ready

If you want you can cook on stove top with seasoning ,then add other things..

Roast all things given under bhath powder,& grind into smooth powder









In a pan add oil & heat then add mustered seeds,curry leaves,red chilli & channa dal & fry until 
brown,then add roasted powder & mix if it is too dry sprinkle little water & mix then add salt,sugar & mix then add cooked rice & mix well till cooperated lastly,add lemon juice & mix well.

Lastly garnish with grated dry coconut

Serve with any raita ..
