ಚಪ್ಪರದ ಅವರೆಕಾಯಿ ಹುಳಿ
In last post i have posted flat beans or ಚಪ್ಪರದ ಅವರೆಕಾಯಿ rice bhath,in this you can make curry also,today i am posting its sambar ir ಹುಳಿ recipe,this is also very tasty dish which can be accompanied with rice,idli,dosa etc.,....
Ingredients
1 cup flat beans cut into medium peaces
1/3 to 1/2 cup toor dal
Little oil
Turmeric pinch
For masala
Dry red chillies 4-5
Black pepper 2-3
Coriander seeds 1 tb sp
Channa dal 1 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds less than 1/4 tsp
Jeera 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves few
Grated coconut 1/4 cup
Others
Salt
Jaggary 1 tsp
Soak 1 small lemon size tamarind in water
Tempering
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustered seeds
Curry leaves
Dry red chilli 1-2 broken
Method
Cook flat beans with toor dal adding little oil & turmeric until cooked
In a pan roast all ingredients given under masala adding little oil until nice aroma comes out
In a mixer put all ingredients with grated coconut & grind to smooth paste.
Take a vessel & put cooked toordal & flatbeans mixture & bring it to boil then add grinded masala &
mix let it boil for 2-3 minutes then add salt,jaggary & tamarind water & mix well then live it to boil
for few more minutes.then remove from fire .
Make seasoning & add it to sambar & mix.
Serve hot with rice.
