MOOLANGI PARATHA




Moolangi means raddish vegitable used in many varieties nowadays,normally i was preparing sambar or majjigehuli from this but now one more frequently i make molangi raita,which is very tasty and easy to make and often i will be making mooli parathas too,today i am posting its method.

Radish are eaten even raw & used in making some dishes,where if we come to health benefits it is filled with vitamins and nutrients for our body.you can find many kind of radishes all over,as i seen red color radish too,normally in india it is quite common we find white radish,such that we can see ,

types of raddish...coming to bebefits,it has good source of potassium ,it is good to lower our blood pressure,hypertension,good for good flow of blood,etc.   ( source google)


Preparation time : 30 mins
Cooking time: 30-35 mins
Serves 4 people
Storage : 1 day in airtight containers or refrigerator


Ingrediants:

2 cups of whole wheat flour

2 medium big raddish

Salt as needed

Pinch of sugar

1 tsp of coriander powder

1 tsp of jeera powder

1/2 tsp of garam masala powder

1 tsp or liile more of red chilli powder

1/2 tsp of ginger

1 tsp whole jeera


1 tsp of kasoori methi ( optional)

1 tbsp of coriander leaves ( optional)


Method :


  1. Grate raddish and keep ready.
  2. In a wide bowl take wheat flour and add all ingrediants including raddish an₹ mix throughly add water if needed and knead to soft dough and keep covered for 30 mins 
  3. Now knead it once again and dip in dry flour and make as usual parathas and 
  4. Heat a pan and cook both the sides of parathas by driziling some ghee .
  5. Serve hot with any side or simply curd and black pepper powder mixed.
