EASY AND INSTANT VEGITABLE PULAO









'Instant vegitable pulao or one pot meal anything you can say,normally we use pulao powder or grind some masalas & make pulao but here no powder or grinding ,very easy & simple pulao made directly in cooker.i was feeling lazy to grind & had short of powder but wanted to make pulao so i thought to day i will try this kind.....

Ingrediants;

1 cup of basmathi or any long grained or regular rice washed & soaked for 1/2 hr.
1 cup of veggies you prefer
1 medium onion chopped
Salt as needed
1/2 tsp of sugar
1-1/2 tsp of red chilli powder or as spicy you want
1 tsp of coriander powder
1/2 tsp of jeera powder
1/2 tsp or very little more of garam masala powder
1 tbsp of lemon juice
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Seasoining;

1 tsp of ghee & 1 tsp of oil
Sha jeera or regular jeera or cumin seeds
1 or 2 bay leaf
1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
1 or 2 cloves
1" of cinnamon
1 green cardamom


Method:

1. Heat oil & ghee both ,make seasoning by putting jeera,cloves,cardamom,& cinnamon & fry for few seconds.next add ginger garlic paste & fry next add bay leaves & fry .

2. Now add chopped onions until little transperent & add all orher veggies finely chopped & fry until 1/2 cooked .

3. Now add soked rice & mix well & fry for few seconds.

4. Now add water for 1 cup of rice add 2 cups or little less water & mix well.add lemon juice also.

5. Now add salt ,sugar,coriender powder,jeera powder,red chilli powder & garam masala powder & mix very well & close the lid & cook for 2-3 whistles.

6. When it cools remove & mix with fork that grains will separate

7. Serve hot with any side.

NOTES:

1. Cumin powder is optional

2. Fry onion & keep aside & add later if you want little crisp.

3. You can add fried cashews too.

4. Instead of coriander keaves you can garnish with kasuri methi.
