JEERA RASAM


Jeerige saru or jeera rasam,jeera or cumin seeds are very helthy & good for digestion & cold etc.,it is very tasty rasam which you can drink as soup itself or can have it with plain rice i got this recipe from a blog where little changes has been done.

Ingrediants;

Jeera or cumin seeds 1 tsp
Coriender seeds 1 tsp
Chanadal 1 tsp
Black pepper 1/2 tsp or as per spicy
Dry red chilli 1-2 ( optional)
Few strands of curry leaves
Tamarind pulp 1 small lemon size
Salt as per taste
Jaggary 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves & curry leaves for garnish
Ghee 1 tsp for roasting & 1 tsp for seasoning
Jeera 1 tsp for seasoning
Curry leaves,dry red chilli for seasoning



Methid;
1. Roast jeera,coriander seeds,chanadal,curry leaves,black pepper,dry red chilli by adding ghee until nice aroma comes out & color changes & cool & make paste of this mixture by adding water & keep aside.

2. Soak tamrind in sufficiant water & take out the pulp .

3. In a bowl heat ghee & make tadka & add tamrind water & leave it boil until raw smell goes then add grinded mixture & leave it to boil until fine aroma comes out.

4. After few minutes add salt & jaggary & mix & leave it to boil for few more minutes.

5. Remove from stove & garnish with coriender leaves,

6. Serve hot with rice.
