BATATA NA SHAAK


This curry is mainly from Gujarat,this is one of the Gujrathi dish which is mainly made by potatoes which can be served with roti,dosa,etc.,very easy & tasty & little bit crunchy ,today i made this as side for same Gujrathi thepla one more dish of gujraties ,😊

Ingrediants;

1-2 medium potatoes cut into small pieces

For seasoning;

1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustered seeds
1 tsp jeera & little more
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
Few curry leaves
1-2 green chillies finely chopped ( optional)
Ginger paste 1/4 tsp

Salt as needed
Sugar little

Others;

1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder

Coriander leaves for garnishing
1 tbsp lemon juice.

Method:

1, chop potatoes by removing its skin to tiny pieces

2. In a pan heat oil & put all seasoning things & fry until fine aroma comes out.

3. Now add potatoes & fryfor few minutes.

4. Now add masala powders with salt and sugar & mix well until it combines well.

5. Cover & cook on medium low flame until potatoes are done ,but be stirring here and there otherwise potatoes will be burnt.

6. When potatoes are cooked switch off the stove & garnish with coriander leaves & put lemon juice & mix well.

7. Serve with roties.
