CUCUMBER TOVVE


Tovee is also one kind of gravy normally prepared by using heerekai,today.  I got this recipe from one blog in fb., so i wanted to try,it was very easy & tasty too,it goes well with rice & also u can serve with any other dis as side.

Ingrediants;

1/4 cup of toor dal
1 medium size cucumber 
Salt as per taste
Jaggary little for taste

For masala;
Dry roast;
1 tsp coriender seeds
1/2 tsp channa dal
1/4 tsp urad dal
1/4 tsp jeera
2-3 green chillies or as per spicy
1/4 cup of grated coconut
Curry leaves few

For seasoning;
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp mustered seeds
1 dry red chilli
1/2 tsp jeera ( optional) 

Method;
( here i have made little change in recipe)

1. Cook both toordal & cucumber pieces until done.

2. Dry roast the ingredients given under masala & grind into fine paste with grated coconut.

3. Bring the cooked dal & cucumber to boil & mix the grinded masala & boil for few minutes here you can add 2-3 leaves of curry it is optional becaz we have included in grinding.

4. Now put salt as per taste & jaggary too & leave it boil for few more minutes until raw smell goes.

5. Remove from fire & now make seasoning & pour on the gravy,

6. Serve with rice .
