Oats rava idli,this is very healthy break fast & as same as we prepare normal rava idli,it is very easy & tasty.when we are feeling bore of same kind of idlies this is one change for all of us.it comes out very soft & tasty.this you can also call as instant oats rava idli,where no fermenting,grinding etc.,by using oats we can prepare many dishes nowadays...i have tried oats paddu & it is alsovery easy to make & this is my second post of oats for breakfast..normally everyone will unlike to have oats like that only,it's ok if it is once in a while but daily.....personally even I don't like to eat oats daily,so if we include in our recipes it will be very good & no member ignore to eat 😜
Ingredients:
1 cup oats ( quick cook oats)
1/2 cup medium rava
1 medium large carrot grated finely
1-2 green chillies finely chopped
Few curry leaves
2 tbsp of coriander leaves finely chopped
Salt as per taste
Pinch of sugar
Curds 1 cup ( as needed)
1 -2 tb sp of grated coconut
Eno fruit salt 1 tsp
Seasoning;
1 tbsp of ghee
1 tsp of mustered seeds
1/2 tsp of chanadal
1/2 tsp of uraddal
1 tbsp choped cashews
Method;
1. Dry roast oats for few minutes & cool & make fine powder & keep,
2. Dry roast rava/semolina for few minutes or until you touch you feel hot ( not too hot)
3. Grate carrots,cut curry leaves,cut coriander leaves & keep ready.
4. Make seasoning
5. In a bowl take powdered oats,rava,add salt & sugar & now add all other ingredients except eno fruit salt & mix throughly,now add little curd & mix & leave it for five minutes,then add remaining curds & eno salt & mix immediately.
6. Meanwhile keep ready greased plate for steaming idli.
7. Immediattly after mixing eno pour 1 ladle of batter to all greased idli plates & steam for 10-12 minutes or till done.
8. Remove & serve hot with chutney or sambar.
Note;
1. Batter should not be like dosa ir idli batter but inbetween .
2. You can add curry leaves & green chilli to seasoning itself & then mix to the batter.
