OATS & TILL LADOO


                                                                 ಓಟ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಳ್ಳಿನ ಉಂಡೆ

Oats & till or sesame seeds ladoo is a sweet dish,which is very healthy & very tasty.it is very easy to make & here i have not used sugar i have used jaggery instead of that.one more oats with ragi flour &  dates i have posted in previous post, here is the link: Ragi with oats & dates ladoo.  some health benefits of oats here, firstly,oats has many health benefits like it reduces risk of astama in children,it increases apatite & controls harmones ,it controls blood pressure,it reduces cholesterol & very good breakfast diet.....

Ingredients.
1 cup quick cook oats
1/2 cup + 2 tsp till or sesame seeds
3/4 to 1 cup jaggary
1-2 pods of cardamom
1 tbsp of dry fruits like badam,cashew & dry grapes
2-3 tbsp of ghee or more to make ladoos
Milk ( optional)

Method
1. Dry roast oats until nice aroma comes out & coarsely powder it & keep ( you can powder it to fine powder also)

2. Dry roast till or sesame seeds until ( little bit) it changes its colour & fine aroma comes out & keep aside.

3. Heat 1 tbsp of  ghee in a pan & fry dry fruits & keep.( dry fruits should be finely cut)

4. Make powder if cardamom & keep ready.

5. In a wide bowl take powdered oats,till & add cardamom & roasted dry fruits & mix well & keep ready.

6.In a pan add jaggery & melt it when it is completely melted immediately add to the mixture of oats & mix with a spoon thoroughly & let it to slightly cool that you can handle to make ladoos.

7.  Now add 1 more tbsp of ghee & mix & start making ladoos,if you feel hard to roll ladoos then add 1 tbsp of milk & continue.

8. Store in air tight container.

Notes;
1. You can powder jaggery with oats only & make ladoos ,then may be you must add little more ghee.

2. If you add milk the shelf life will be less.so try to avoid milk as much as you can.

3. You may not need all ghee which i have mentioned.it is up to you,
