RAGI ROTTI


                                                                               ರಾಗಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ
Prep., time 10 minutes
Cooking time 2-3 minutes ( 1 rotti)
Ragi rotti is finger millet rotti,rotti made by using finger millet flour,which is very healthy,normally,people believed that ragi is poor people's meal,& it was also true that they were having this ragi in there everyday life as ragi mudde,ragi rotti or ragi ganji,but now all type of people are making note to have ragi once in a month or week as a diet food,yes ragi is very useful to reduse weight,yes it has many other health benefits too,it makes stronger bones, & boost up the body with energy.& also very good in taste & very easy to make so make sure that your menu will have any ragi dish in next coming days :-),i usually prepare ragi mudde or rotti weekly once.

Ingredients;

1 cup ragi flour
Salt as needed
3-4 finely chopped green chillies
2 medium onions finely chopped
1 string curry leaves finely chopped
1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
1/4 cup grated coconut
1 tbsp oil

Method;

1. In a pan heat oil & add green chilli,chopped onions,curry leaves & fry until nice aroma comes out & lastly add coconut & coriander leaves & fry for a minute & take off. ( see notes)

2. In a wide bowl take ragi flour & add all fried items with salt & mix finely & add little by little water & make soft spreadable dough & cover & keep aside for few minutes.( see notes)

3. Take a tava or pan or plate & grease it & make equal balls of dough & keep.

4. Now take one ball of dough & put it on tava or pan or plate & spread evenly & thinly & sprinkle little oil & cover & cook over medium heat until it cooked fully & be crisp,if you want you can turn it upside down and cook the other side also.

5. Remove & serve hot with chutney or any other side you like.

Note;

1. First step is completely option,if you don't want to fry you can mix everything like that only,& make the dough.

2.dough should not be too thick like chapathi dough it should be little more soft & pealable & neatly spreadable ( if you touch you feel little sticky & wet)
