PEAS RICE BHATH


                                                                 ಬಟಾಣಿ ಭಾತ್
Prep time : cooking rice
Cokking time ; 5-8 minutes
Peas rice bhath,this is south indian variety,where i have used vangibhath powder.& within no time you can prepare this rice dish,you can prepare with fresh rice or cooked left over rice both.it is very tasty & very easy to prepare,onething is you should keep ready of vangibhath powder thats it :-) .
Here i have used home made powder.you can use both homemade or store bought powder your wish

Ingredients;

1 cup cooked rice or leftover cooked rice
1/2 cup peas ( i used frozen,if you want you can use fresh one,then boil water & cook peas before using )
Salt as per taste
Sugar little
1&1/2 tbsp vangibhath powder

For seasoning ;
1tbsp oil
1 tsp mustered seeds
2 dry red chillies broken
Few curry leaves
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Others;
1tbsp lemon juice ( adjust according to your taste)
Dry coconut/ fresh coconut grated 1/4 cup

Method;
1. Cook rice & keep ready

2. In a pan heat oil & add all things given under seasoning & fry & next add peas ( frozen/cooked)& fry until peas is soft & nicely incorporated .

3. Add cooked rice & mix then add vangibhath powder & salt & sugar & mix well that everything mixed nicely.

4. Remove & add lemon juice,dry coconut/fresh coconut & mix & garnish with coriander leaves.

5. Serve with raita.
