SEMOLINA BREAD


As i said in my last post breads are made by usingbread flour or maida,all purpose flour,but now a days for health conscious we can see whole wheat bread,millets bread etc., today i tried semolina bread semolina is called as rava or sooji,same as maida bread all Ingrediants but instead if maida here i used semolina or rava,,

Ingrediants;

2&1/2 cup of fine rava or semolina ( i used chiroti rava)
1 tbsp plus little more butter
1 tsp of salt
1 tbsp plus little more of sugar
2&1/4 tsp of instant yeast
1/4 cup of milk
3/4 cup of water
( everything should be at room temperature)

Method

1. In a wide bowl take all Ingrediants except milk & water & mix nicely.

2. Now add milk & water & start kneading for 10-12 minutes,until everything nicely incorporated & the dough should be smooth enough.

3. Grease the bowl with oil & put the dough & brush the dough with little oil & cover with cling film & keep in warm place for raising for 1 hr.

4. Remove the raised dough on the clean surface & punch & remove the air & start kneading for 5-8 minutes

5. Grease. Bread pan & roll it like thick log & keep in the bread pan & cover with cling film  & keep in a warm place for 1/2 hr or 1 hr.

6. Preheat the oven for 8 minutes in 180 dig centipede.

7. Brush the bread with warm milk & bake in pre heated oven for 25-30 minutes or until done.

8. Remove from oven & brush with butter & keep it to cool.

9. After it is cooled store in a air tight box.
