Navane means fox tail millet,it is also one type of millet which is very healthy,let us see some health benefits of fox tail millet,it may help to control blood sugar & cholesterol,it is rich in copper & iron,it is called navane in kannada & thinai in tamil.......it is also natural source of protein & easy to digest,it is helpful for strengthening the nervous system,rich in B vitamin etc...... ( from google)nowadays millets are used in everyday food becaz it is health & with health conscious,normally i use or i try to use in each and every food which i prepare for breakfast 😜 and even you cant find out any difference too ,here i used for making rotti roti what ever you call...it is very easy to make & tasty too...

Ingredients

1 cup of rice flour
3/4 cup of foxtail milet powder
Salt as needed
1 tbsp of oil
Pinch of sugar
1 medium big onion finely chopped

For grinding;
1/2 cup of grated coconut
4-5 green chillies
1/2 inch of ginger
Little coriander leaves
Few curry leaves

Method;

1. Firstly grind into coarse means not too smooth or not too coarsly given ingrediants & keep,

2. In a wide bowl take all ingrediants including grinded mixture & mix well until incorporated & add little by little water & mix to smooth dough which is not too hard as chapathi dough or not too watery inbetween that you can spread on tava.and keep asode for few minutes.

3. Take a kadai or tava & grease with oil & take a medium size ball of dough & try to spread as much thin as you can with dipping your hand in water & sprinkle little oil over rotti & cook until it starts browining & becomes crisp.flip if you want & cook other side also.

4. Remove and serve hot with any side or you can have it as it is where no need of any side also it will be tasty.

Notes;
1. Foxtail millet flour i think you can get in shop but i made it at home only by powdering in mixie.

2. Green chilli & onion you can adjust for your taste.

3. Cook on medium high flame that it becomes more crispy like biscuit.

4. If you don't want to grind you can add all ingredients like that only no problem,but i think if u adopt this method ot will be more tasty.
