Stuffed dates,very healthy & very tasty & super easy sweet dish can be made.actually,this can be made by kids .i had too many dates stored in my refrigarator.i did burfi,ladoo,roll etc., but still,i could not finish.so i was thinking what to do,while i was browsing i got this recipe from Bhavana's kitchen , it was quite interesting, so i thought i will prepare this.but in her blog she has used only badam but here i have used both badam & kaju / cashews for stuffing with light flavour of cardamom
powder.you can make only badam or cashew & even pista that is your wish & creativity.but very easy & with in no time you can make it.:-) .
Ingredients;
15-20 dates de-seeded
1 cup of both badam & kaju powdered
1/4 + little more powdered sugar
2- podsof cardamom
Any food colour you wish 1 small drop
Method:
1. Take dates which is little long in length wise ( i used lion dates) & cut length wise & remove the seed inside don't cut fully only half should be cut length wise. & keep ready.
2. Powder both badam & kaju in a blender with cardamom to fine powder.
3. Now divide the powder & add colour to one part of the powder & add very little water & start mixing & make a smooth soft dough,in same way make dough with plain powder also ( here you can use multi colour,which ever you want).
4. Now start stuffing.make a cylindrical type using the dough & stuff into the dates & press it lightly.do similar with remaining dates also.
5. Take a knife or spoon anything & make an impression ( any design) on the stuffed dates.
6. Store in airtight container.& serve.
7. You can keep outside for 2-3 days & refrigerate for up to 4-5 days
