BASIC DOSA BATTER


                                                                ದೋಸೆ ಹಿಟ್ಟು

This is basic dosa batter in which you can prepare plain dosa or varieties such as onion dosa,capsicum dosa etc., this is very simple & easy to prepare.

Ingredients ;
1 cup raw rice
1/2 cup urad dal
1/4 cup poha
1 tbsp fenugreek seeds ( methi seeds)Salt as edded
Pinch of sugar

Method:

1. Soak rice & dal,poha & fenugreek seeds separately for 5-6 hrs in sufficiant water.

2. Firstly grind the rice to smooth paste & next grind dal,methi seeds & poha to smooth paste.

3. Put it in a wide bowl & mix well.

4. Leave it to ferment over night.

5. Next morning add salt & mix well.

6. Heat tava & make regular dosas on a medium flame.

7. Serve hot with chutney or any side of your wish.

8. If you want crispy dosa soak 1 tbsp of chana dal & 1 tbsp of toordal.with urad dal.
