UPMA MASALA


                                                                ಮಸಾಲಾ ಉಪ್ಪಿಟ್ಟು
Prep time 10-15 minutes
Cooking time 10minutes
Upma masala or masala upma whatever name you can call,usually,we make normal upma plain,onion upma,vegetable upma etc., by putting normal seasoning & another version is khara bhat or chou chou bhath which is served with kesaribhath,here i made slight change of kharabhath by adding vangibhath powder & named it as upma masala. ;)

Ingredients ;

1 cup medium rava
2-3 tsp vangibhath powder
1/2 cup finely cut veggies ( your choice)
Water 2 cups
Salt as per taste
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 1/2 lemon ( in medium lemon)
1/4 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

For seasoning ;
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustered seeds
2 dry red chillies broken
1 spring curry leaves
1/2 tsp channa dal
1/2 tsp urad dal

Method;
1. Dry roast rava until nice aroma comes out & lightly changes its colour.

2. Cut all veggies finely & cook & keep ready or you can coon directly when u make seasoning.

3. In a pan heat oil & add all seasoning things & fry then add cooked veggies  & fry then add turmeric powder & add given water & salt & sugar & lemon juice & mix & live to boil. ( if you using raw veggies add after seasoning & fry until tender & cook by adding water )

4. When water starts boiling add roasted rava little by little & mix without any lumps & live to cook on medium flame by covering for 3-4 minutes.

5. Remove & serve hot.
