LEFT OVER COOKED RICE IDLI

Prep., time ; 5-7 minutes
Cooking time; 15 minutes
Leftover cooked rice idli,this is very easy & also soft & tasty idli,normally,sometimes when we prepare rice for dinner may be it will be more quantity,so then we think what to do because we don't want throw to leftover rice, nowadays all things are very expensive & we don't want to waste any thing as much as we can.so by leftover rice you can prepare some dishes for eg., lemon rice,any vegetable bhath,cutlet,roti etc.,last time i have made rotti by using left over rice which i have posted.
Today i tried to prepare idli from leftover rice it came out very well & very soft idli.within no time you can prepare this dish,so from now on wards no waste of cooked rice...:-)

Cooked rice rotti

Ingredients:

1 cup cooked rice ( leftover rice)
1/2 cup ( or little less than 1/2 cup) idli rava
Salt as needed
Water to make batter

Method;

1. Grind by adding water to rice to smooth paste.

2. Take the grinded rice to a bowl & add idli rava & mix than add salt & mix well.

3. Make the idli batter consistency by adding water if needed.

4. Grease idli plates & pour ladle full of batter & steam it for 15 minutes as normal idli or until done.( when u insert knife or spoon it should come out clean).

5. Remove & serve with chutney & sambar & enjoy.
