BROCCOLI WITH PEANUTS RICE BHATH


Prep., time 10 minutes
Cooking time 10-12 minutes
Broccoli & peanuts rice where i have mixed broccoli & roasted peanuts to cooke rice with home made vangibhath powder.this is actually first time i am using broccoli,every time i was going to market i was seeing that vegetable  but  thinking that i din't know any recipes to use that & coming back without buying,but yesterday i went & brought broccoli but i don't no anything how to prepare
 & all & i did not have to time to browse in ipad,& lastly,thought i will make as usual bhath by using vangibhath powder,but i was not knowing how to cut or coo,some how i managed everything,usssappa.it was tasty.& very easy to make too :-),broccoli is very healthy vegitable.i will post its benefits in another post .


Ingredients;
1 cup cooked rice
1 small to medium bunch of broccoli cleaned & chopped
1 tbsp peanuts
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2-3 tsp vangibhath powder
Salt as per taste
Sugar for taste
Lemon 1 tbsp

Seasoning:
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustered seeds
1-2 dry red chilli broken
Curry leaves few

Method;

1. Cook rice & keep ready.

2. Clean broccoli & chop & keep ready

3. Heat oil in a pan & add seasoning given above & fry then add peanuts & fry until it turns golden brown & crunchy,then add turmeric powder & mix then add chopped broccoli & fry in oil for 4-5 minutes & sprinkle little water & cover & cook on low flame, ( not too less or more water) .

4. Then when it is cooked add vangibhath powder, salt & sugar & mix well then add cooked rice & lemon juice & mix well until everything combines well.

5. Adjust salt & lemon juice & vangibhath powder as per your taste.

6. Remove & serve with any raita.
