SPRING ONION PANCAKE

ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ಹೂ ದೋಸೆ
Spring onion pancake,i think for dosas in english name is pancake ,it is soft & fluffy pancakes & usually the main difference is they add eggs in pancakes,today i am posting eggless pancake,actually i had bought spring onions & was thinking what to do becaz i wanted to use spring onion for breakfast,but i din't want same regular upma,chapathi....  So i was browsing in net & i saw this eggless pan cake & thought ok i should try this,so i did,it came out very soft ,sure kids love this ...


Ingredients

1 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup maida flour
1 cup spring onions with greens chopped finely
Cumin seeds 1/2 -1 tsp
1/2-1 tsp coarsly grounded black pepper    Or pepper powder
Ginger 1/2 tsp or more
Salt
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Baking soda 1 pinch


Others

Curd ( thin) 1 cup
Water little if required.


Method

In a wide bowl mix all given things under ingredients except soda & add  curd with little water & mix throughly that there is no lumps, batter should not be too watery or not too thick,consistency should be as set  dosa batter which we make.keep aside for 1/2 hr.after 1/2 hr add soda & give a quick mix & keep.



Making batter


Heat a dosa pan & smear little oil & pour ladle full of batter & don't try to spread too much simply touch the ladle on the batter & shake thats enough & if you want sprinkle little oil & cover & cook on medium flame & flip upside down & cook both sides.

Remove & serve hot with any side you like.

Note; curd makes soft soft pancakes.
