Sabbasige soppu/ soppuseege soppu/ dill leaves,these are the names if this leafy vegetable,it is having quite strong aroma,& little bitter but you can't find it,it looks like little bit like coriander leaves.it is very healthy too.it contains numerous chemical compounds that preventing disese,& health promoting properties,it contains no cholesterol,low in calories, it contains vitamins,help to control blood sugar.etc..this leaves is used for making vadas ( masala) rice,rotti etc.,
Ingredients
1 cup cooked rice
1 small bunch of clean dill leaves
Salt as per taste
Sugar little ( optional)
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
1/4 cup grated coconut
Seasoning
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Channa dal 1 tsp
Urad dal 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 1 string
Green chillies finely chopped
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Method
Cook rice & keep ready ( rice should not too much mushy or too much grainy)
Chop dill leaves finely & keep
Heat oil in a pan & add all things given under seasoning, & fry until golden brown,then add turmeric powder & mix,then add rice,salt & sugar & mix well,now add lemon juice & mix.
Finally , add grated coconut & mix then add dill leaves & mix well.
Note; you can avoidadding coriander
You can fry the dill leaves with little oil or ghee to make less aroma.
